Welcome to TOL! We are a play-by-post original scifi fantasy anime role-play with an evolving plot. We encourage all level of role player to do their best. All ages are welcome, but this site does contain mature themes and a whole lot of violence, so if you have to ask your parents if you can be on this forum, this site probably is not for you. We are usually pretty relaxed, however breaking a rule or many rules will result in a warning, and if the same act is repeated after 3 times, it will result in a temporary or permanent ban, depending on how they were broken.
These are the main two rules:
1.) Be courteous to ALL players!
This refers to the people behind the characters, not the characters themselves. Your characters can be as mean to each other as you like, but keep any viciousness to your characters. If you have a problem with a person, please feel free to contact a staff member and we can help work out whatever the problem is.
2.) No godmoding, powerplaying, or meta-gaming.
These are discussed in further detail in the Beginner’s Guide if you are new to roleplaying and are unfamiliar with these terms, or if you just want a quick refresher. But basically godmoding is where you make a character that is overly powerful, powerplaying is where you control another person’s character without their consent, and meta-gaming is where the character has the same knowledge as the player.
With these rules, we also have some guidelines to the site.
• You should have one main account, and you are allowed to make as many characters as you like, but please keep them all on the same account.
• To create a character, go to the DNA Sequence, fill out the application, and post them in the Splice board. Please wait for a staff member to accept the character before posting, but if you feel super eager to post go right on ahead. Just keep in mind if there might be some changes to be made to the character if it does not conform to the feel of the site or is unfair to the other players in any way. If you are unsure you could always look at accepted characters for an example.
•Write in the 3rd person please.
• Face claims are optional, as we would like to encourage you to explore creative appearances for your character. And if you choose to do a face claim, it can be from only anime.
• Most importantly, have fun!
